Teaching has given me purpose

Janet volunteers as an English teacher at one of our Olive Tree Centres in Jordan, and from listening to her story, it becomes clear that the centre doesn't just impact the refugees and families that come there for help, it also impacts the people that work there. Her time at the centre has connected Janet with a community that feels like family. It's her place to connect with others.

Working here has given me purpose and an opportunity to serve and praise the Lord by serving others. I share my love for God at the Centre and live out Jesus' commandment to love our neighbours.

Janet has lived in Jordan her whole life and plans to continue volunteering at the centre. Her only hope is that God will allow her more opportunities to serve and grow in her faith.
