This year, the uncertainty facing refugees in Jordan has deepened. Economic pressures, reductions in international aid, and rising living costs mean many families are now one emergency away from homelessness. Their situation is precarious, yet instead of protection, they feel forgotten.

Jordan continues to host one of the largest refugee populations in the world. Tens of thousands of families fled war and violence with the hope that they would quickly return home. Months turned into years. Now, more than a decade later, many are still living in cramped apartments, struggling to pay rent, excluded from stable employment, and facing impossible decisions: Do we buy food, or do we buy medicine? Do we keep a roof over our heads, or make sure our children have warm clothes for winter? Do we pay the bills, or give them the chance to stay in school?

Through our four Olive Tree Centres in Amman, Jordan, we offer:
Emergency relief: food parcels, hygiene supplies, and help with urgent needs.
Psychosocial support and trauma-informed care: for children, parents, and individuals.
Education and learning opportunities: including literacy, language support, and vocational skills.
Community and belonging: a place where people can heal, laugh, grow, and begin to imagine a future again.
Support our Christmas Appeal
Over 730K refugees live in Jordan and their situation has worsened, with international aid cuts and spiralling conflict in the region. Nearly half are children, whose lives are disrupted by trauma and displacement. Few families can afford schooling and there are no safe places for children. Refugees are often prohibited from working and are unable to feed or support their family. Many women are widowed and are ill-equipped, marginalised and have suffered trauma too. Refugees urgently need help.
